Many people, many faces. No face is equal in the world. As the face, so is the palm. However, the palm has been divided into seven parts for the calculation of palmistry.

Elementary Hand: - Elementary hand or lowest type of hand is found generally among the labor class people. The hand is ugly to look at. The fingers are thick and short in its appearance. The person having such kind of hand is of low mental development and intelligence. They engage themselves in unskilled labor work ever lower than that. They have little or no control over anger. Sometimes they are very violent in their temper. These people have no imagination, no feeling, even they are coarse or not sophisticated in their ideas. They lead their life in eating, drinking and sleeping. It is often found low set of thumb in this kind of palm.

Square Hand: - The square palm looks like a square in its appearance. Even the fingers are square-cut in its appearance. Generally, the hands are found small.
The people having this kind of palm are very practical by nature. These people are more materialistic and have less imagination. These people are very logical, painstaking, and methodical in their work. They believe in practicality and proof. They are having religious bent of mind and more or less superstitious. They are very stubborn and strong willed. They are often found with stiff and thick thumb.

Spatulate Hand: - The hand is very heavy to look at. The tips of the fingers are wide and thick pad at its end. The person who has got this type of hand is always engaged with something. These people are very strong and unenergetic. They do everything untiringly. These people are often found good and hard worker. The hand with spatulate formation is highly imaginative and creative in their work. They are unconventional, emotional, demonstrative and inventive. So to speak, these people are quite opposite to square hand people. The base of the finger might be wider than the wrist or just reverse. The hand is wider at wrist, the more independent, impetuous, and hasty in their speech, temper and activities.

Conic Hand: - The conic hand is also called artistic hand. The conic hand is very beautiful in its shape. The fingers are normally tapering or pointed. This kind of palm is famous not only for its beautifulness but also for its qualities. That is why, it is called artistic hand. The person with artistic hand may not be a designer or a painter; however the person must have a tendency towards beautiful things and a great love towards music, singing or writing and all kinds of fine arts. It is very important to study the line of head while studying conic hands. The above qualities are more visible if the headline is good and long. If the conic hands become soft and fleshy, then there will be laziness. If it is not taken care, there will be obstacle to achieve goal. The hard conic hand becomes spectacularly successful in all kinds of artistic activities.

Philosophic Hand: The philosophic palm generally long, thin, angular and knotty in its appearance. The people with philosophic hands are studious, research oriented and philosophical bent of mind. They are extremely fond of literature. These people are more or less love asceticism and loneliness. They normally do sedentary work. Due to this reason, these people are often found in spiritual or religious movement. All the monks those contributed their philosophy, doctrine, art, science, alchemy and occult sciences belong to philosophic hand. In these days these kinds of hand easily can be recognized as the nature and character remains same in spite of machinery and materialism. People having this kind of hand monetarily less successful by comparison to square hand. The people with knotty fingers are very details in the work and careful in everything they undertake. The people with philosophic palm are by far the most intelligent person among all.

Psychic Hand: - The people with psychic hands are less successful in material world. This kind of hand is of highest mental development class people among all. These people remain in dreams and ideals. They are extremely failure in worldly affairs. When there is the question of bread and butter, they earn very little for which they remain even in starvation. These people are very spiritual and have little care about material success. If the person with psychic hand supported by others, then they develop strange psychic power and visions that may few understand. If they are unfortunately supported by others, they remain in helplessness and poverty. They are not strong physically.

Mixed Hand: - Mixed hand means the mixture of all kinds or at least some part of the other hands. It is seen that all the fingers are different from each other. Such as the index finger is square, middle finger Spatulate, ring finger philosophic and little one is conic. Sometimes it is seen that the palm is either Spatulate or square and all fingers are mixed. Such people are always more or less changeable in their activities for which they rarely become successful in their undertaking. They are jack of all trades, master of none. Generally these people have command over many subjects and versatile in their character. If the line of head is strong, clean and without any break or irregularities then it gives success in one of the fields they possess.
